Dr. Harry Tsarbopoulos earned his medical degree from American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine and is interested in full-spectrum family medicine with a focus on emergency medicine and obstetrics. During residency, he plans to tailor his training toward those areas with the long-term goal of becoming board certified in both family medicine and emergency medicine.

Dr. Tsarbopoulos’ decision to pursue medicine was shaped by his family’s experiences with limited access to health care. Seeing loved ones lose their lives to illnesses that could have been detected and treated earlier inspired him to become a physician committed to improving access to quality medical care. He looks forward to building the broad clinical skills needed to care for patients across a wide range of settings and circumstances.

Born in Morristown, New Jersey, Dr. Tsarbopoulos briefly lived in Athens, Greece, before his family settled in Spokane, Washington, where he spent most of his childhood. He chose the Roseburg Family Medicine Residency because of its broad clinical training opportunities and its vital role as one of the region’s primary health care providers. After narrowly missing a residency position the previous year, he is especially grateful for the opportunity to begin his medical career while remaining in the Pacific Northwest, close to family and surrounded by abundant outdoor recreation.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Tsarbopoulos enjoys video games, hiking, and participating in local 5K and 10K races. Over the past several years, he has focused on improving his health through a significant weight-loss journey and is looking forward to taking up cycling, with the goal of completing the Seattle to Portland ride. As he settles into Roseburg, he is excited to explore Oregon’s hiking trails, national parks, and the Oregon Coast while making the community his home over the next three years.
