Virtual Interviews

We understand interview season looks much different these days, but still intend to make each interview day a memorable and enjoyable experience for each of our candidates. Applicants who applied via ERAS and are offered interviews will be notified via Thalamus. Communication is primarily via email and the virtual platform, Thalamus, which is where the actual interview day is held as well.

Each candidate receives an e-packet with information about the wonderful Aviva Health (our family practice site and resident employer) benefits, a sample contract, salary information, etc. The virtual platform, Thalamus will allow you to schedule your interview with us, view information about our program, see a itinerary (interview day agenda) and will automatically setup the meeting links for you.  Should you have any questions about interview day, please do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to help and want your interview day to be informative, enjoyable and go as smoothly as possible (at least as smoothly as it can in a virtual world).

Lifestyle Medicine Focus

With the focus on a whole food, plant-predominant dietary lifestyle, regular physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, avoidance of risky substances and positive social connection as a primary therapeutic modality for treatment and reversal of chronic disease, lifestyle medicine is a clinical care approach that’s rapidly growing in popularity.

Our Lifestyle Medicine Residency Curriculum (LRMC) consists of educational and practicum components. The educational component is composed of didactics and independent application activities delivered over three years. The practicum component includes lifestyle medicine related patient encounters, intensive therapeutic lifestyle change program exposure, and group facilitation exposure.

This unique opportunity, allows our residents to sit for the lifestyle medicine board, making them lifestyle medicine and family medicine boarded upon graduation.
