Dr. Tayler Tobey earned her medical degree from Oregon Health & Science University and is passionate about preventive health care, lifestyle medicine, metabolic health, dermatologic conditions and procedures, and patient education. She is especially interested in helping patients understand the connection between skin health and overall wellness while empowering them to make practical, sustainable changes that improve their quality of life. Her goal is to build long-term relationships with patients and provide care that is accessible, compassionate and community-centered.

Originally from Astoria on the Oregon Coast, Dr. Tobey grew up in a rural community where access to medical care was often limited. Those early experiences shaped her desire to pursue medicine and improve access to care for communities similar to the one that raised her. She later attended Oregon State University before returning to Portland for medical school. She describes Oregon as home and is passionate about serving the people and communities that have supported her throughout her life.

Dr. Tobey chose the Roseburg Family Medicine Residency because of its strong sense of community, supportive culture and commitment to training physicians who are deeply invested in the people they serve. She looks forward to becoming part of the fabric of the Roseburg community and hopes to be the kind of physician who helps patients feel seen, heard and understood while partnering with them in their care.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Tobey enjoys learning new skills and frequently takes on creative projects and hobbies. She loves board games, cooking and baking from scratch, planning themed gatherings, reading, filming home videos, and spending time outdoors. She also enjoys getting to know neighborhood pets wherever she lives. Her partner, whom she met during medical school, is currently completing a family medicine residency in Portland. She also has three cats who bring plenty of personality and joy to her life.

In her free time, she looks forward to exploring Roseburg’s parks, trails, restaurants, coffee shops, farmers markets, and local events while discovering all the places that make Southern Oregon feel like home.
