Dr. Indira Benakanakere relocated her family from New York to Roseburg after joining our Family Medicine Residency training program. She earned her medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 2017. Prior to attending medical school, Dr. Benakanakere put her PhD in biochemistry to use as a research scientist and professor, participating in cancer and breast cancer research. 

Outside of clinic, she and her daughters enjoy going on walks and hikes together and watching documentaries.
