Aviva Health began in 1991 as Umpqua Community Health Center as a grassroots effort intent on providing health care for the underserved in Douglas County. The success of this effort required support from volunteers and monetary contributions from the community. Aviva Health has continued to grow and expand services to the underserved as a non-profit health care organization.
