Family medicine resident physician Dr. Katelyn Michelsen was born in Sacramento, California, and grew up in The Woodlands, Texas. She completed her undergraduate studies at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and later earned her medical degree from Trinity Medical Sciences University in the Caribbean. She has special interests in obstetrics, pediatrics, procedures and lifestyle medicine, and she hopes to make a positive, long-lasting impact on her patients.

Dr. Michelsen’s overall experience during the interview process sealed her decision to join the Roseburg Family Medicine Residency. She’s excited to be part of a program fully supported by a faculty who genuinely care about each resident’s success.

She enjoys culinary exploration, reading, outdoor activities, and traveling. She also enjoys scuba diving and has a goal of diving off the coast of every continent. She looks forward to experiencing local festivals, visiting wineries and hiking.
