Dr. Ravinder “Ravi” Johal, resident physician, is from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The passing of a family member when he was young inspired him to pursue a medical career. Later, he graduated from the American International School of Medicine in Guyana.

Dr. Johal was drawn to the Roseburg Family Medicine Residency by its people and environment. He is excited to be a part of the team and chose Aviva Health because everyone’s kindness made him feel welcome. “A happy work life is a happy home life,” he says.

He has a Malapoo and enjoys playing hockey, which gives him a sense of community and helps him keep grounded.
