Established to address the specific needs of rural healthcare, our program combines clinical practicum experiences, specialty rotations and didactic education to provide a comprehensive training experience. Residents will work alongside experienced healthcare providers from various disciplines, including nursing, medicine, pharmacy, and behavioral health, to manage a variety of acute and chronic conditions commonly encountered in community health.

Launching in 2025, the Aviva Health Rural Oregon Advanced Practice Providers (APP) Residency Program is a 13-month educational initiative designed to enhance the skills and confidence of newly graduated family nurse practitioners (FNPs) and physician associates (PAs) in a rural healthcare setting. Our mission is to advance the education of new FNPs and PAs, resulting in increased professional competency and a deeper understanding of the unique populations within rural community health centers.
