Stephanie RiccalarsenFamily Medicine Physician

    Aviva Health Family Medicine Physician Dr. Stephanie Riccalarsen completed her undergraduate studies at Oregon State University in Corvallis. She earned her medical degree from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska in 2006.

    In 2009, Dr. Riccalarsen completed her family medicine residency at University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

    Dr. Riccalarsen has practiced primary care in Coos Bay as well as at the Roseburg VA. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages and genders and feels like she is doing her best work when helping patients to prevent chronic medical conditions through all available modalities. Dr. Riccalarsen has additional training in obesity medicine and experience running a weight loss clinic. She is passionate about helping patients with weight management because it is a very strong preventive strategy.

    At Aviva Health, Dr. Riccalarsen provides primary medical care to patients at the organization’s Glide Clinic and serves as adjunct faculty for the Roseburg Family Medicine Residency Program. She loves teaching the resident physicians and helping them to become effective physicians who are in turn poised to help their own patients prevent adverse health conditions through weight loss and other means. 

    She was raised in Medford, and in her spare time enjoys a variety of crafting activities, painting, reading, and spending time with her husband and four daughters.
