Dr. Samia Butt was born in a small town in Pakistan. She earned her degree in medicine from the University College of Medicine and Dentistry, Pakistan.
Her father’s encouragement and his battle with liver disease inspired her to follow a career in medicine. Experiences in Pakistan and the United States deepened her commitment to family medicine and her resolve to eradicate transmissible diseases.
Dr. Butt was drawn to the Roseburg Family Medicine Residency for its welcoming atmosphere and focus on lifestyle and evidence-based training. She is eager to continue her journey to serve and advocate for patients and families through this program.
Dr. Butt and her husband have two children. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and swimming with her children. She is passionate about research and how it can improve the health of her patients.
