Nicole Stafford, CSWAClinical Social Work Associate

    Nicole Stafford is a licensed Clinical Social Work Associate (CSWA) who works out of Aviva Health’s Roseburg Outpatient Behavioral Health Clinic. Prior to joining Aviva Health, she served as a child welfare caseworker, a counselor at a state youth prison, youth pastor, and a caregiver and administrator for developmentally disabled adults in western Washington.

    Nicole grew up in rural Washington State and completed her bachelor’s degree at Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington in 2010. She graduated with her master’s in social work from Eastern Washington University in 2020 while working for Washington State as a case worker for extended foster care youth.

    Nicole has extensive experience working with adult foster youth and developmentally disabled adults. She is enthusiastic about working with adolescents and children and utilizing a client-centered trauma informed lens. In her practice she uses motivational interviewing, dialectical behavioral therapy, Aggression Replacement Therapy ( A.R.T is an evidence-based cognitive behavioral therapy for youth with anger issues) and other therapy models as needed, depending on individual patient needs.

    Nicole recently married a Roseburg native in June of 2023 and was blessed with a blended family. In her spare time, Nicole loves to spend time with her cats and chickens, farm mealworms, grow vegetables, play video games, and stay grounded in her Christian faith. She shares a commitment with her husband to serve foster youth and mentor young people.
