Dr. Joseph Ijeh was born in Lagos, Nigeria, and graduated from Oba Okunade Sijuade College of Health Sciences, Igbinedion University. He was drawn to medicine after a visit to his provider when he was 7 to remove an object from his ear. The physician took time to explain everything, even showing him a diagram of the ear. The interaction had a profound impact on Dr. Ijeh, and the encounter was a significant motivator for pursuing a career in the medical field.
Being the only residency program in Douglas County, Roseburg Family Medicine Residency (RFMR) held unique appeal to Dr. Ijeh, which ultimately led him to select RFMR as a potential match. The opportunity to practice lifestyle medicine is also of great interest.
Dr. Ijeh enjoys watching soccer games and listening to classical music and soundtracks. Movies and cinematography are a passion, motivating him to watch every award-winning movie each year.
