His theoretical approach involves a combination of CBT, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing, and functional acceptance and commitment therapy that is accomplished in a brief manner typical for primary care clinics. Jared addresses emotional health issues including stress, anxiety, grief, and depression, chronic medical and health problems. Jared has also been trained as a tobacco treatment specialist through the Mayo Clinic and has extensive experience in assisting efforts at smoking cessation as well as cessation from other addictive substances.

Jared grew up in Roseburg as a child, ultimately graduating from Roseburg High School. He returned to the area with his wife and children in 2006.  Outside of work, Jared is very involved with his wife and children in various music and athletic activities, including involvement with the Umpqua Valley Youth Orchestra, and enjoys spending as much time as possible outdoors in the surrounding areas.
