Mitzi Thompson, BSN, MSN, WHCNP, NAMS, is a women’s health provider at Aviva Health who has specialized training in caring for people with menopause. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, Tennessee. Mitzi then earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Hahnemann University (Drexel University College of Medicine) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She furthered her studies and received a Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioner (WHCNP) certificate from Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, and later, earned a Certificate in Menopause Practitioner from The North American Menopause Society (The American Menopause Society).
She works with patients transitioning from menarche through menopause, helping them achieve their personal wellness goals.
Mitzi was born and raised in southeast Tennessee. She and her husband moved to Roseburg eight years ago with their two Tennessee Walking Horses and border collie. They enjoy rural life and being close to family.
