Dr. Christina Miller was born in California and graduated from Oregon Health & Science University School of Medicine in 2023. During her medical school training at OHSU, Dr. Miller also earned her master’s in public health – epidemiology from OSHU Portland State University School of Public Health in 2022.
The residency’s community-oriented ethos, along with its program-specific design to cater to the needs of the Douglas County community and beyond, captured Dr. Miller’s interest. The lifestyle medicine focus, opportunities to work at the VA, inclusion of community medicine rotations, and Roseburg Family Medicine Residency being the only program in this area further sparked appeal. Dr. Miller’s special interests include geriatrics, post-acute and long-term care, community health, addiction medicine, lifestyle medicine, integrative medicine and patient advocacy.
“I love family medicine because I don’t have to choose one particular thing to focus on,” says Dr. Miller. “I love working with patients of all ages, with all backgrounds, with all health conditions. I love getting to know my patients’ stories, values, and their dreams for the future, and advocating for them when they need it. In the future, I’d like to work in the primary care clinic, spend time working in nursing homes, and creating educational programs to teach children about health.”
