Cherann Beer is a licensed Clinical Social Work Associate (CSWA) who is a full-time behavioral health consultant at our Sutherlin clinic location. Prior to joining Aviva Health, she worked as a child welfare caseworker in Roseburg, OR.
Cherann is originally a military child, moving throughout the United States and foreign countries. She has a love for cultures and people, and her travel only increased her desire to work with people from all backgrounds and nationalities.
In her practice, Cherann works extensively with children and families. She is trained in dialectical behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral therapy. She has a special interest in assisting families and children who have experienced trauma, anxiety, chronic illness, and behavioral needs.
Cherann moved to Oregon in 2004 and felt she found her permanent home. She moved to Douglas County in 2017. She graduated with a Bachelor of Human Development and Family Sciences from Oregon State University in 2018 and a Master of Social Work from Portland State University in 2021.
In her free time, Cherann enjoys hanging out with her family, friends, and dogs. She enjoys being in nature camping and hiking, experiencing Oregon.
