Dr. Stephanie Thompkins earned her medical degree from Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine and is passionate about serving rural communities through comprehensive, patient-centered care. Following residency, she plans to work with Veterans Affairs and hopes to continue practicing in a rural setting focused on community outreach and reducing health care disparities. She is especially interested in lifestyle and integrative medicine and looks forward to incorporating those approaches into her future practice.
Dr. Thompkins chose the Roseburg Family Medicine Residency because of its close-knit culture, strong procedural training opportunities, rural setting, and emphasis on lifestyle medicine. She also values the program’s relationship with the local VA hospital, where she looks forward to completing rotations.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Thompkins enjoys reading fantasy and science fiction, crocheting, indoor gardening, and powerlifting. She also has a talent for memorizing songs filled with random facts and trivia. In her free time, she looks forward to exploring Oregon’s waterfalls, visiting Crater Lake National Park, and trying dune buggy adventures along the coast.
