Landon Haslem, MD, PhD

Dr. Landon Haslem was born in rural Cedar City, Utah, and grew up in Santa Clara, Utah. A medical experiment that extended his grandmother’s life and helped her save his father in an accident inspired him to become a physician-scientist. He earned his medical degree and PhD in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, aiming to advance medicine through research and empathetic, patient-centered care.

Interviewing for the Roseburg Family Medicine Residency made him feel like being welcomed home by a group of old friends. Southern Oregon is where he has always thought of establishing his family, and he is excited about a return to small-town living.

Dr. Haslem loves spending time with his wife and kids doing fun activities like riding motorcycles and ATVs, hiking, camping, hunting, building go-karts, gardening, homesteading, and cooking. Often called a jack-of-all-trades by his friends, he easily forms new friendships through shared interests.
