Welcome to our updated Umpqua Community Health Center (UCHC) website! We’ve been working on an update for several months, with the intent of having everything be more user friendly, providing better and more current information, and ultimately be a tool you use for your care with us. Your feedback about how to improve this site, and/or make it more value-added for you, is greatly appreciated: email webfeedback@umpquachc.org to send us your thoughts.

My staff and I kicked around whether we should have a “blog” where we post information written to you. This blog could be an overview of programs we have launched, explanation of a policy, an announcement about an upcoming event we think you’d like to know about, or just focusing on a key topic that we believe will benefit you. Like general feedback about our site, we’d love to hear your ideas on what topics to cover in a posting, have you pose a question for us to answer, and so on. We promise to post something at least once a month, shooting for twice (or greater) as we get better at the weblog thing. Again, the email address for that is webfeedback@umpquachc.org.

Just around the corner from our relaunch of our site is Veteran’s Day. I wrote a guest column for The News-Review, our local paper for Roseburg, about UCHC’s passion for serving those who serve in the military services, and who have served previously. If/when it gets published I will repost at least a link here on our site, if not a reprint of the original article. In the meantime, on behalf of the UCHC staff and Board of Directors, we thank all our Veterans for their service to our country. I’d like to extend a further thank you to the families and loved ones who have served…you have sacrificed too by loaning your Servicemember to the rest of us during their tour(s) of duty.
