Obtuvo su t\u00edtulo de m\u00e9dico en la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad Ross, Dominica, y una Maestr\u00eda en Salud P\u00fablica en la Universidad Chamberlain, Downers Grove, Illinois.<\/p>\n<p>El enfoque preventivo, rentable, proactivo, integral y personal de la atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica que presenci\u00f3 en Cuba lo inspir\u00f3 a seguir una carrera en medicina familiar. Esa experiencia lo llev\u00f3 a Missouri, donde se convirti\u00f3 en asistente m\u00e9dico.<\/p>\n<p>Fue all\u00ed donde tuvo la oportunidad de tratar a una poblaci\u00f3n desatendida, lo que lo impuls\u00f3 a\u00fan m\u00e1s a seguir una carrera en atenci\u00f3n primaria directa. Esto le ayud\u00f3 al Dr. Wong a comprender mejor c\u00f3mo una relaci\u00f3n de confianza con un m\u00e9dico, en conjunci\u00f3n con la atenci\u00f3n preventiva y la promoci\u00f3n de la salud, puede contribuir al bienestar de los pacientes y a reducir los costos de la atenci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica.<\/p>\n<p>La oportunidad de atender a las familias en su conjunto le ha permitido sentirse integrado en la comunidad, lo que le permite conectar de forma mucho m\u00e1s personal con los pacientes.
