DIRECTOR

As the Director of the Area Health Education Center in Southwest Oregon, Christin Rutledge is committed to forging pathways for healthcare careers, driven by a passion for accessible healthcare for all. With a Master’s in Public Health and a background that began as a medical assistant, Christin has dedicated her career to creating opportunities in healthcare. Beyond her professional endeavors, Christin treasures her role as a parent to two teenagers. One has already entered the healthcare field, while the other is preparing for a future in nursing, set to start college next fall. Her personal experiences as a dedicated parent further fuel her commitment to building inclusive healthcare opportunities for aspiring professionals. In her leadership role, Christin designs and oversees programs that bridge gaps, ensuring aspiring healthcare professionals have the support and resources to thrive, enriching healthcare in Southwest Oregon. Christin Rutledge’s dedication stems from a genuine desire to pave the way for a healthier, more accessible future in healthcare. Her deep-rooted commitment to community well-being drives her efforts in creating a healthcare landscape that fosters inclusivity and equal opportunities for all.

Lacey Ferguson MEd

RECONNECT FELLOWSHIP PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Lacey Ferguson has been the ReConnect Fellowship Program Coordinator since its inception in 2016. As an education and program consultant, she specializes in helping organizations build and sustain programs that enrich their local communities. Lacey is passionate about mentoring ReConnect Fellows, facilitating professional learning, and building strong relationships with healthcare organizations in the AHECSW service area. Her favorite part of being the ReConnect program coordinator is welcoming new fellows into the program and supporting them in their journey to becoming a healthcare provider. Lacey spent 10 years as an educator prior to stepping away from classroom teaching to pursue a career in program consulting. She received a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Oregon. She resides with her husband and three sons on a ranch in Douglas County.
